DELTA -- Lawrence William Kidd, 95, died Oct. 23, 2005, at his home.
Born Sept. 13, 1910, in Arbor, son the late Adam Hensley and Gladys Ann Beck Kidd, he had worked as a mechanic for the Delta R-5 School District and a veteran of World War II having served as a staff sergeant with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of Arbor General Baptist Church, Whitewater Masons No. 417, Whitewater Eastern Star No. 174 and Chaffee VFW 3127.
On July 2, 1946, in Marshall, Miss., he married Lucille Rhodes who preceded him in death June 4, 2001.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: one daughter, Imogene Miller of Lacon, Ill.; one brother, James R. Kidd of Gordonville; one sister, Hazel Hitt of Bloomfield; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee where a Masonic service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Revs. Bob Bradford and Jack Owens officiating.
Graveside military rites will follow at Stroderville Cemetery near Whitewater.
