SIKESTON -- Lavinia Moll Gardner, 86, died Oct. 23, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Sept. 10, 1919, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Raymond and Myrtle Sheppard Moll, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston and the United Methodist Women. She had worked as a telephone operator and at Hales Jewelry Store before retiring.
In December 1943, she married George W. "Bill" Gardner, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1981.
One sister, Raynette Moll, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, George W. and Janice Gardner Jr. of Greenville, S.C.; two brothers Ray A. Moll and Miller Moll of Sikeston; one grandson and his wife, Geoffery William and April Gardner of Pelzer, S.C.; one great-grandson, Pierce Alexander Gardner of Pelzer; and three nephews, Mark Allen Moll of Fort Smith, Ark., Mike Gordon Moll of Sikeston and William Miller Moll of Columbus, Ohio.
Visitation is from noon Tuesday until time for services at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Geoff Posegate, senior pastor, and the Rev. Harold Norton, senior adult minister, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
