POPLAR BLUFF -- Mr. and Mrs. Albert Coram, formerly of Blodgett, recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Feb. 2.
Coram, son of the late Albert and Helen Coram, and the former Betty Jean Wilson, daughter of the late Franklin "Jack" Wilson and the late Martha Wilson, were married on Feb. 2, 1966, at Sikeston by the late Rev. O.S. Harris.
The couple have a children, Betty Louise (Coram) Dock of Poplar Bluff, Mary Elizabeth Coram of Poplar Bluff, Linda Mae (Coram) Luttrull and Deborah Renee (Coram) Lee of Kennett. They also have six grandchildren, Martha and Ashley Dock, Wanda and Carol Luttrull and Abby and Austin Lee.
In honor of their 40th anniversary, the couple was entertained by their daughter, Mary, by having a dinner party at Colton's Steak House in Poplar Bluff.
Coram is semi-retired and works at Nordyne in Poplar Bluff as a spotter driver. He was formerly employed as a farmhand in Blodgett with Benny Marshall and as a truck driver with the now defunct Sam Tanksley Trucking Company. Mrs. Coram is still a full-time homemaker, involved in activities with their children and grandchildren.
