POPLAR BLUFF -- Trish and Ken Grady have announced the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Marie Grady, to Christopher Michael Hicks, son of Agnes and Jerry Hicks of Portageville.
A 2002 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School, the future bride also earned an associate degree in 2004 with honors from Three Rivers Community College. She expects to earn a Bachelor of Science in management-human resources from Arkansas State University later this year.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Portageville High School. In 2005, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education and history, graduating cum laude. He is a history teacher and basketball/baseball coach at Delta C-7 High School in Deering.
Plans are being finalized for a June 10 wedding.
