William Thompson

ST. LOUIS - William R. Thompson, 78, founder of Thompson Culvert Company, died Feb. 16, 2006.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty Thompson, two sons, William Scott Thompson and Charles W. Thompson; one daughter, Sherri Thompson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Terry R. Thompson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Buchholz Mortuary West, 2211 Clarkson Road in Chesterfield. A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 221 Church St. in Ferguson.

Private interment will follow.
