CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Tracy Dawn Hawkes and Michael Allen Schaffer were united in marriage during a 6 p.m. ceremony July 8, 2005, at Francine's Gardens in Cape Girardeau. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Nathaniel Green of Sikeston.
The bride is the daughter of Harold Hawkes of Sikeston, Janet Caudle of Poplar Bluff and Rick Sinclair of Jefferson City. She is the granddaughter of Martha Kurtz of Sikeston.
Parents of the bridegroom are Lynn and Tammy McMackin of Sikeston, and grandparents are John and Ruth Schaffer, also of Sikeston.
Serving her friend as matron of honor was Amy Shimon of Sikeston. Bridesmaids were Keri Wren, Jayna Gilmore, Tracy Williams and Dawn Brotherton, all friends of the bride from Sikeston.
John Schaffer served his grandson as best man. Groomsmen were Lynn McMackin, father of the bridegroom; Jamie Schaffer, uncle of the bridegroom; and James Stewart and Rolland Putnam, friends of the bridegroom.
Serving as ringbearer was Collin Putnam, nephew of the bridegroom.
Ushers were John Schaffer and Logan Gilmore of Sikeston. Taylor Gilmore of Sikeston attended the guest book.
A reception was held at Francine's Gardens after the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Schaffer are making their home in Sikeston.
