EAST PRAIRIE - Dorothy Evelyn Jackson, 88, died at 12:35 a.m. Feb. 28, 2006, at the Charleston Manor.
Born Oct. 14, 1917, in Fulton County, Ky., to the late Thurman and Hallie Poley Craddock, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston.
On March 25, 1937, she married Harvie Lee Jackson, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jack Chapman, Ruth and Billy G. Watson and Janice and Jimmy Nolen of rural Charleston; one sister, Elizabeth King of Chesterfield Township, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Marie Craddock of Ellittsville, Ind.; and six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, Thomas Craddock, Robert Craddock, Thurman Craddock Jr. and Billy Craddock, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.
