BERTRAND - Marvin Clark Hartwick, 92, died at 2:53 a.m. May 2, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 27, 1913, in Guy, Ark., to the late John Leonard and Emma Edwards Hartwick, he lived 32 years in St. Louis where he was a member of the Apostolic Oneness Holiness Church and was employed with the Chase Bag Corporation until his retirement in 1978. In 1984, he moved to Bertrand and attended the Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal Church in Anniston. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
On June 22, 1934, in Kelso, Ark., he married Mozell Osborne who preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 1993.
One brother, Waco Hartwick; and one sister, Nerma Hartwick Shields, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil Sherman and Barbara Hartwick of Charleston and Kenneth Ray and Donna Hartwick of Bertrand; one daughter and son-in-law, Mildred Maxine and Kenneth Harrington of Charleston; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Kenneth Harrington of Charleston will officiate.
Burial with full military rites conducted by the Missouri Military Honor Guard will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Sherman Hartwick, John Kevin Hartwick, Michael Steven Hartwick, Kenneth Bryan Harrington, Jason Rollie Hust and Glen Alan Hartwick.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Jerry Brewer, Michael Brewer and Larry Temple.
