Speakout 3/12

Sunday, March 12, 2006

You all have made my point. It is not a matter of your age, whether you be young or old. It is a matter of your ability to drive. You said, "I hope you're around when you're78." Yes I do, but I bet your grandchild hopes, I'm not driving.

To all Senior Drivers. I did not say that your license should be taken away at 70. Read carefully now. I said you should be given a "driving test at 70". To determine if you are capable of driving a car safely. If you are capable of driving a car safely, then drive on until next year when you will have to test again. We have to decide on this before one more person dies. I know you would not want to kill anyone. I do not mean to offend, only to keep a parent like myself from losing a son or daughter because Grandpa did not know when he was able or unable to drive a car safely.

I'm calling about the smart aleck who put the piece in the paper about the old cars on the highway. I have an old car and I want them to know one doggone thing, I keep my car up. I was coming from town a couple of days ago and this brand new car passed me. It was gonna turn and it didn't even turn its signal light on. I turn my signal lights on when I turn and I don't run no stop lights. This smart aleck might have a brand new car, but they ain't a dad gone bit better than I am. I work for what I got and they need to keep their mouth shut.

President Bush is our President and we need to stand behind him. Certainly, one man can not run a country, it takes more. All these decisions are not up to him. He was elected by fair vote. There are no morals in this country. He is trying to do the best he can. Whoever made the comment that they would rather have a President with no morals, that tells you how our country really is. I would not have signed my name if I was that person either.

Well good, ole George Dubya has managed to get about all the countries in the world mad at us. Now he is getting close to doing the same here in the USA. It's really no surprise after he has lied to us and tried to conceal everything he could. Personally, I think he has even lied about his National Guard service. He thinks people are dumb and stupid and will believe everything he says just by him saying, "Trust me." Why should we? Last year Afghanistan had 20 percent more taxes than 2004. Yet we are making progress. More and more violence in Iraq that he brags so much about. More of our young men dying and being mangled for life. And now we have the Katrina tapes. On what grounds can he deny that? We have the biggest deficit we have ever known. He has even passed Reagan and his father. All he does is lie. Everything will be all right though, just trust him.

I'm looking for someone who does filing services for people for a small fee, such as non consent divorces and other things in that nature. If you would, please leave your name in the SpeakOut for a return call.

If those Mississippi County Deputy sheriffs would spend more time solving some of the burglaries going around there instead of going to Memphis to find a stolen dog, they would be doing the people a lot better service. I mean don't get me wrong, dogs are nice and everything, but we need something done about the crime. They need to get their priorities straight.
