PORTAGEVILLE -- Luella Hobbs, 85, died Dec. 18, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 27, 1921, at Lilbourn, daughter of the late William and Teresa Biler Cravens, she was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church.
On Jan. 3, 1950, in New Madrid, she married Stowell Hobbs who preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1986.
Also preceding her in death were: one son, Billy Calvin; one daughter, Daisy Hobbs on March 12, 2002; one brother, Clement Cravens; and one sister, Halley Broughton.
Survivors include: five sons, George Hobbs and Bill Hobbs of Oran, Stowell Hobbs of Charleston, Mike Allgier of Portageville and David Allgier of Union City, Tenn.; three daughters, Anna Jane Crockett and Linda Thurman of New Madrid and Kaki Long of Portageville; three sisters, Mary Etta Mitchell of Sikeston, Anna Jane Eichorn of San Antonio and Pat Ripley of St. Louis; and 42 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. today, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church. The Rev. Allan Saunders will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
