ST. PETERS - James L. Chadd, 64, died July 16, 2005, at his residence in St. Peters.

Born April 1, 1941, in New Madrid, son of the late Elmer R. and Camille Lands Chadd, he was an assembler with Ford Motor Co. for 30 years and a member of the UAW Local 325.

Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Chadd of St. Peters; two sons, Kenneth Chadd and James Chadd Jr. of St. Peters; four brothers, John D. Chadd and Jimmie Chadd Sr. of Sikeston, Thomas G. Chadd of Lilbourn and Jerry Chadd of O'Fallon; four sisters, Joan Gardner and Doris Skelton of Sikeston, Wanda Kennedy of Bertrand and Glenda Chadd of Cape Girardeau; and one grandson.

Three brothers, Russell Chadd, Steve Chadd and Larry Chadd, and one sister, Kathy Kearby, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
