FESTUS -- Marie Trucks, 78, formerly of Sikeston, died March 11, 2006, at the Festus Manor.
Born Nov. 3, 1927, in Manila, Ark., daughter of the late Cleve Alden and Sylvia Roe McCann, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston and had worked for Shuffit's Nursing Home on Ruth Street.
On Jan. 19, 1948, she married Charles Trucks who preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1995.
Survivors include: one son, Terry Trucks of Festus; three daughters, Sandra Hines of Springfield, Jan Roux of Festus and Phyllis Proffer of Plano, Texas; one brother, Clifford McCann of Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Barbara Williams of Phoenix, Ariz.; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Sam Williams, pastor of Selma Baptist Church in Festus, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery at Manila.
Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and grandsons: Larry Hines, Tom Roux, Larry Proffer, Derek Roux, Tim Proffer and Alex Trucks.
