ORAN -- George Phillip Hobbs, 65, died at 9:54 p.m. Nov. 12, 2007, at Barnes-
Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Born June 28, 1942, son of the late Stowell and Luella Craven Hobbs, he was a self-employed farmer.
In addition to his parents, one sister preceded him in death.
Survivors include: his significant other, Linda Ditto of the home; one son, Mark Hobbs of Morley; two daughters, Elizabeth Glastetter of New Hamburg and Julie Crenshaw of Augusta, Ga.; four brothers, Bill Hobbs of Oran, Stowell Hobbs of Charleston, Mark Allgier of Portageville and David Allgier of Union City, Tenn.; three sisters, Anna Jane Crocket and Linda Thurman of New Madrid and Kaki Long of Portageville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
