EAST PRAIRIE - Mildred May Ritch, 65, died at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 3, 2006, at her home.

Born Sept. 4, 1940, in the Sugartree Community near East Prairie, to the late Dick Linley and Leona Mills Busby, she lived most of her life in East Prairie and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in East Prairie.

On Sept. 29, 1986, she married Jerry Wayne Ritch who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: five sons, Homer Baker, Timmy Baker and Tommy Cross, all of East Prairie, Eddie Cross of Daytona, Fla., and Jimmy Cross of Seattle; two daughters, Teresa Marie Widoew of Seattle and Mary Ann Linhart of Charleston; two stepsons, Ricky Cross and Linny Cross of Charleston; seven brothers, Charles Mills, Ronnie Busby, Vick Linley, Joe Linley, Harry Linley and Harold Gene Linley of East Prairie and Willis Linley of Bath, Mich.; five sisters, Linda Faye Caldwell, Patricia Ann Johnson, Anita Willis and Carolyn Soto of East Prairie and Linda Riley of Eureka, Mich.; and 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Barry Baker; three sisters; and one brother.

Visitation is after 11 a.m. Thursday at the Shelby Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at 1 p.m. in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery. Richard Farquhar will officiate.
