Phillip Groves Sr.

CHAFFEE -- Phillip David Groves Sr., 73, died at 10:45 p.m. Dec. 27, 2007, at Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 1, 1934, in Cairo, Ill., son of the late David and Ruth Lassiter Groves, he was a rental manager for Ryder Truck Co. and U.P.S. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, one brother and one sister also preceded him in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Kevin Groves of Cape Girardeau and David Groves Jr. of Perryville; and five grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee were services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating.

Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
