EAST PRAIRIE - Doris Faye Lynch, 68, died at 4:11 p.m. March 5, 2006, in East Prairie Nursing Center at East Prairie.
Born March 18, 1937, in Commerce, daughter of the late Oliver and Gladys Hockersmith Haney, she was a lifelong area resident. She had been a beautician for over 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Prairie.
On Dec. 23, 1957, in Hernando, Miss., she was united in marriage to C.D. Lynch, who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2003.
Two brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Terry Bruce and Alice McLain of East Prairie; six brothers, Cecil Haney, Paul Haney, David Haney and Donnie Haney, all of East Prairie, Dan Haney of Charleston, and Ronnie Haney of Barlow, Ky.; one sister, Mary Bell Clayton of North Little Rock, Ark.; one granddaughter and spouse, Sarah and Dallas Sherrod of Kansas City, Mo.; one grandson, Jeremy McLain of Kansas City, Kan.; and one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Sherrod of Kansas City, Mo.
Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. George White, pastor of the First Baptist Church of East Prairie, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Ted Wimberley of Charleston.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.
