CHAFFEE - Lary Lee Glaus, 67, died at 1:30 a.m. March 5, 2006, at his home.
Born Sept. 14, 1938, in Commerce, the son of the late Joseph Ulrich and Beatrice Fay Knight Glaus, he was a self-employed farmer and had retired from Local 513 in Cape Girardeau where he was a heavy equipment operator. A veteran of the U.S. Marines, he was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and St. Ambrose Mens Club in Chaffee.
On June 29, 1957, he married Dorothy Arnzen who survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Lary Glaus Jr. and Stacey Glaus of Chaffee and Keith Glaus of Whitewater; four daughters, Jo Donna Schwepker, Belinda Tetley, Laura Sanders and Maria Glaus, all of Chaffee; two sisters, Jacquelyn Vandeven and Debra Ann Eichhorn, both of Chaffee; and 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one brother, Robert Glaus; and one great-granddaughter, Syndea Rhodes.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. with parish prayers at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The Rev. Ralph Duffner will officiate.
Burial will follow in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be: Wade Sanders Jr., Matt Sanders, Tyler Glaus, Densen Glaus, Graig Tetley, Zach Schwepker, Trever Glaus and Jayden Griffin.
