PHOENIX - Robert Frederick Stroud, 79, died Feb. 5, 2006.
Born June 22,1926 in Matthews, Mo., he attended grade school at St. Francis Xavier in Sikeston, Mo., and high school in Matthews, before enlisting in the Army Air Corp. He served in World War II and farmed in Missouri until relocating to Phoenix in 1970. He retired from the Bureau of Land Management in 1986.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Helen Stroud; two sons and daughter -in-
laws, Joseph W. and Francis Peace of Phoenix and Robert F. and Barbara Stroud Jr. of Nampa, Idaho; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca A.and James Garner of Roseburg, Ore. and Patricia E. and Johnny Maynard of Gilbert, Ariz.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Lou Schneider of Matthews and Elizabeth "Betty" and Richard Dowden of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Internment will be in the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
