BLODGETT - Thomas H. "Tommy" Evans, 74, died Dec. 26, 2005, at his home.
Born Oct. 5, 1931, in Scott County, to the late Roy V. and Frances Yeakey Evans, he was retired from the Sikeston Power Plant, a member of Miner Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran.
On May 23, 1953, he married Glenda Rister, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas Martin Evans and Joel Patrick and Amy Evans, all of Blodgett; two daughters and one son-in-law, Debra Lee and Michael Nelson and Kathie Lynne McGee, all of Blodgett; one brother, Norman Evans of Blodgett; one sister, Carolyn Duff of Sikeston; nine grandchildren, Brooke and Delbert Marriott, Megan Nelson, Matt and Ashley Evans, Ryan McGee, Christian, Hayes and Jack Evans, all of Blodgett; and four great-grandchildren, Katilyn and Kylie Eskew and Jacob and Tommy-Anne Marriott, all of Blodgett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one brother; one grandson, Adam McGee; and one granddaughter, Abbey Evans.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.
