SIKESTON - Gladys L. Johnson, 91, died at 3:35 a.m. Oct. 24, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 13, 1913, in Maunie, Ill., daughter of the late Allie D. and Ella Mae Zoph Ward, she was a real estate broker for R.D. Clayton Real Estate Company from 1961 until 1983. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was in the choir, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star 450 of Morehouse and 137 of Sikeston.
Survivors include: two sons, Elmer Johnson of Sikeston and James Johnson of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Pamela Ayers of Maplewood; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters.
Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Rick Lasley, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
