CHARLESTON - Laura Lee Betts died Jan. 26, 2006, at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis.
Born in Charleston, to the late Elder Elijah and Louise Thomas Betts, she graduated from high school in St. Louis and was a member of the Opportunity Church of God, where she was a member of the choir.
Survivors include: three brothers, Felix Betts of Detroit, Gary Betts of Indianapolis and Elder Steve Betts of Charleston; eight sisters, Dorcas Spence and Deborah Turner, both of Charleston, Ruth Simpson and Jennie Townsend, both of Kankakee, Ill., Rochelle McVay of Memphis, and LaBirdia Moore, Betty Burns and Delores Salmon, all of St. Louis.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of services at noon at the Opportunity Church of God in Christ. Her brother, the Rev. Steve Betts, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
