William Scales

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - William Hobart Scales, 64, formerly of Morehouse, Mo., died Jan. 25, 2006.

Born Sept. 30, 1941, in St. Louis, son of the late Everett and Jewel Freeman Scales, he was a member of Lynch View Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He married Frances Lett who survives.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Victoria Downing of Jacksonville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, James Scales of Byron, Ga., and Charles and Sally Scales of Warner Robins, Ga.; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Mike Legree of Jackson, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
