John Nelson Jr.

LILBOURN -- John Nelson Jr., 64, died Aug. 19, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born April 14, 1941, in Arkansas, son of the late John and Inora Nelson Sr., he was a farm laborer for Raymond Atchley Farms before retiring.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Otis and Margaret Nelson of Oswego, Ill.; one sister, Bertha Mae Rise of Parma; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn. The Rev. Willie Johnson and the Rev. Robert Pledger will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Simmons Burial Park at Catron.
