Speakout 2/13

Monday, February 13, 2006

This is the Portageville Bulldog fan again. I would like to speak out on your sports department again and the people of Sikeston, Mo. I do not agree with most everything Chris Moore and your lousy sports department comment on. I am a Portageville Bulldog fan. We do go support our team when we're out of town. That's more than I can say for the Sikeston Bulldog bunch. When you people visited our dog pound on a recent Saturday night, Chris Moore was right, no team support from your city or your student body either one. You had a handful of fans, no cheerleaders. That's pretty lousy, especially for a big class school like you are. Get with the program folks. Start supporting your folks and you might do a little bit better. Thank you very much and have a good day.

I would like to know what is happening in this country, and can anyone tell me what to do so we can change it? I just saw on our noon day news, that the government is thinking about charging a fat tax for people that are obese. What is going on? This is supposed to be a free country. I don't understand how they can give someone a tax because they overeat. I don't understand that at all. This is a free country and we are supposed to be able to do what we want to. If we choose to overeat or choose to not eat, that is our right. Tell me what we can do to stop the government from taking over all of our freedom and our rights.

I just want to comment on the article that Chris Moore wrote on the cheerleading squad. I think it was right on. I don't see the problem with them cheering at all the games. The problem with these cheerleaders is that we need these athletic girls to play another sport. The only sport they get to play is soccer or track and other sports could really use them. The cheerleading guidelines that this school has won't let these girls play because they need to entertain at games. If you let them play other sports, you would still have enough girls to entertain at the games. Cheerleading is just entertainment, and that's all. Real sports could use their help. Keep talking hard, Chris. Tell them like it is. You are doing a great job. Later.

This is not a Democratic issue, nor a Republican issue, it's an American issue. We can no longer depend on our Government and President to help us. Both have let us down and failed us. We better start doing like our forefathers did, start falling down on our hands and knees and start crying to God above for our needs. Our President says he is for moral values. Well, what's he doing with a Vice President with a gay daughter? There's something wrong with this picture. He says that war was his war. Then let him fight it. I'm scared we're gonna see Hoover Days before he leaves office. There won't be no money left for nobody by the time his hind end gets out.
