EAST PRAIRIE - Gladys M. Lippmann, 98, died at 6:55 p.m. Feb. 13, 2006, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 26, 1907, in Mississippi County to the late Ashley Crockett and Elizabeth Baker Presson, she had lived in the St. Louis area several years where she worked at Famous Barr, before moving back to East Prairie in 1972. She worked at Nellie's Flower Shop, the Happy House Gift Shop, was an assistant with the East Prairie Girl Scout Units, an original quilter of the RSVP and a member of the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in East Prairie.

On Aug. 2, 1924, she married Ezra Otto Conn, who preceded her in death on March 25, 1972. On March 25, 1960, she married Edwin Felix Lippmann, who preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1992.

One daughter, Roberta Conn Hunter; three brothers; three sisters; two grandchildren; and one great-great-stepgrandchild also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one daughter, Charlene Conn Davis of East Prairie; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-stepgrandchild.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Dan Usher officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
