Sikeston man dies in crash

LILBOURN -- A Sikeston man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday in New Madrid County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 11:50 p.m., James E. Robinson, 54, of Sikeston was traveling southbound on Missouri Highway D at Missouri Highway U in Lilbourn, when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Robinson was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene at 12:28 a.m. by New Madrid County Coroner Jimmy McSpadden.
