NEW MADRID - Laura Pinnell Hunter, 59, died Sept. 26, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 8, 1945, daughter of the late Samuel L. and Patti Hunter Jr., she attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School, graduating from the 8th grade at Visitation Academy in St. Louis. A 1965 graduate of Nazareth Academy in Bardstown, Ky., she attended college at St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City, Kan. She was a member of the Lilbourn United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Pamela Anne Henry of Ocean Springs, Miss., Leah Elizabeth Lawson of Wardell and Laura Megan Doyle of Sikeston; two sons, Patrick O'Connor Doyle Jr. of North Platte, Neb., and Joseph Hunter Doyle of Fort Collins, Colo.; two brothers, Sam L. Hunter III and Timothy P. Hunter of New Madrid; five sisters, Mary Pat Hunter, Harriette Myers and Heidi Williams of New Madrid, Cynthia McGee of Columbia and Mollie Kelly of Leawood, Kan.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pamela Anne Hunter and Linda Leah Hunter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the family home, 951 Scott St. in New Madrid. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lilbourn United Pentecostal Church, 417 S. Fourth St. in Lilbourn, with the Rev. Darrell Pollock, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Patrick O'Connor Doyle Jr., Joseph Hunter Doyle, Sam L. Hunter III, Timothy P. Hunter, Ferguson S. Hunter, Whitson E. Henry Jr. and Samuel McGill Hunter.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Tave Gabrielle Henry, Daniel O'Connor Doyle, Madelyn Gabrielle Doyle, David Elwood Lawson and Ethan Scott Lawson.
