EAST PRAIRIE - Raymond Earl "Pete" Blue, 89, died at 8:52 a.m. June 12, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 6, 1918, at Farrenburg in New Madrid County, son of the late William Henry and Geneva Harr Blue, he retired from the railroad where he worked in telecommunications. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in East Prairie and was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II.
On Aug. 8, 1999, he married Cona Jean Wells who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Raymond Frederick Blue of Norfolk, Neb.; three stepsons, Michael Richard Wells of Jonesboro, Ark., Charles Reeves Jr. of Caruthersville and David Allen Reeves of Malden; two stepdaughters, Rosalyn Mobley of Poplar Bluff and Rebecca Burris of Farmington; one sister, Earlene Sweet of Farrenburg; and two grandchildren, 16 stepgrandchildren, one great-
grandchild and seven great-stepgrandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Allan Laszewski officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
