EL PASO, Texas -- Sally W. Fisher, 84, formerly of Morehouse, Mo., died June 5, 2007, in El Paso.
Born June 3, 1923, in Morehouse, daughter of the late W.T. "Ducky" and Nellie Edwards Wofford, she graduated from Morehouse High School and attended Chillicothe Business College. She worked in the office at Himmelberger Harrison Lumber Company in Morehouse. She attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, was trained in the Department of Pathology at the University School of Medicine, and spent a great part of her life working in the medical field.
On May 1, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Bill E. Fisher who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Wiley and Ruth Fisher and Taylor and Nancy Pierce Fisher; two granddaughters, Kathleen Hartzell and Misty Lane Guirretrax; one grandson, Scott Fisher; and five great-grandchildren, one niece and one great-nephew.
A memorial service was held June 9 at St. Pius X Church in El Paso. James T. Szostek officiated.
Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
Hillcrest Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
