Born Dec. 11, 1937, in Weleetka, Okla., son of the late Leonard and Anna Wilcoxson Reid, he was a retired mechanic for Bell South Telephone Company and a member of Community Full Gospel Assembly in Charleston, Miss.
Survivors include: his wife, Rose Reid; one son, Larry Gamblin of Atoka, Tenn.; five daughters, Sandy Scott of Marion, Ark., Paula Shoemake of Bryant, Ark., Pam Davis of Waverly, Tenn., Patsy Yarbro of Bolivar, Tenn., and Lisa York of Coffeeville; three brothers, Bill Reid, Kenneth Reid and Steve Reid; five sisters, Wanda Duckworth, Beverly East, Brenda Hamilton, Gail Piraino and Sharon Green; and 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Forest Hill East Funeral Home in Memphis where services will be conducted at noon Saturday.
