SIKESTON - Hazel Jeanette "Miss Hazel" Pratt, 65, died at 10:28 a.m. March 16, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Sept. 9, 1940, in Kewanee, daughter of the late Charlie and Vivian Neal Clayton, she was a school bus driver for 23 years for Sikeston Public Schools. She lived most of her life in Sikeston and was of the Baptist belief.
In 1968, in Las Vegas, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Alvie Pratt, who survives of the home.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Susan Hampton of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Sophia Lynn and Jerry Staggs of East Prairie; one granddaughter, whom she raised in the home, Kayla Michelle Pratt; two stepdaughters and one stepson-in-law, Suzette Marie and Donald Scott of Las Vegas and Sherry Renee Gahn of Dixon; two brothers, Tom Clayton of Portsmouth, Va., and Billy Ray Clayton of Pilot Knob; three sisters, Betsy Jo Hampton, Shirley Jean Taylor and Phyllis Ann Mattison, all of Sikeston; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Jean Hampton Robinson; two sisters; and one grandchild.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Steve Tippen, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church of Sikeston, will officiate.
