Aaron Watkins

CHAFFEE - Aaron Lee Watkins, 84, died at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 26, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Aug. 28, 1923, in Graves County, Ky., he was the son of the late Jacob Lawrence and Veatrice Ray Watkins. He was a retired truck driver of Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee and a U.S. Army veteran, who served during World War II.

Survivors include: two sons, Donald Lee McFerron of Billings, Mont. and Robert Watkins of Scott City; one daughter, Patsy Luckey of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, one brother; one grandson and one granddaughter.

Services were conducted today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Oliver Clavin officiated.

Burial followed in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.

Pallbearers were: Richard Watkins, Roger Watkins, Larry Watkins, Casey McAlister Greg Lacey and Ron Davis.
