CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Caruthersville woman was arrested over the weekend for assaulting her husband.
Annie Wright, 42, of Caruthersville, was arrested for assault and held for 12 hours. She later was released on a summons to appear in municipal court.
Around 7:50 p.m. Friday, officers with the Caruthersville Police Department were called to the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in reference to a subject who was seeking treatment after being cut with a knife. Upon arrival, they spoke with T.C. Wright of Caruthersville, who stated he was arguing with his wife, and she pulled out a knife. While he was wrestling with her to get the knife, she cut him on the wrist.
T.C. Wright said he did not want to pursue charges. Officers then conducted an investigation and subsequently arrested Annie Wright.
