William Dixon

CHARLESTON - William E. Dixon, 45, died Dec. 30, 2005, at the Bertrand Retirement Home in Bertrand.

Born May 20, 1960, in Wyatt, son of the late Olie and Eather Scott Dixon, he was a 1979 graduate of Charleston High School.

Survivors include: one son, William E. Dixon Jr. of East Prairie; three brothers, Gilbert Dixon of Hayti and David Dixon and James Dixon, both of Charleston; three sisters, Clara Griffin of Benton Harbor, Mich., Mary Davis of Detroit, Mich. and Frances Hines of Charleston; and two grandchildren, Morgan Dixon and Maci Dixon.

Visitation will be from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Sylvester Davis will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
