Teresa Staten

MERCER, Tenn. -- Teresa Sawyer Staten, 49, died Dec. 10, 2005, at her home in Mercer.

Born June 26, 1956, daughter of Larry and Florene Overton Sipes of Mercer, she was a dance teacher at Kinder Creations Dance.

Survivors include: a special friend, Michael Gasaway of Harlingen, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Marvin Glenn and Leslie Ferrell III of Benton, Mo.; one daughter, Tracy Ilene Staten of Memphis; one brother, Larry Sipes Jr. of Mercer; two sisters, Naomi Bennett of Dickson and Karen Green of Malden, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Services were conducted Monday at Taylor Funeral Home Inc. in Dickson. Ricky Watkins officiated.

Burial followed in the Rock Church Cemetery.
