CHARLESTON - Lois Farmer Hurley, 82, died at 10:23 p.m. Dec. 14, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 20, 1933, in Mississippi County, daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Cordia L. Sutherland Farmer, she had lived her entire life in Mississippi County. She was a member of the Charleston United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women, and was a 50-
year member of the Order of Eastern Star 137.
On Dec. 31, 1942, she married Robert Lindsay Hurley, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1995.
One sister, Louise Farmer, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and William Woods of Columbia, Judy and Robert Donovan of Sudbury, Mass., and Peggy and Mike McIlroy of Charleston; one brother, Charles Franklin "Buck" Farmer Jr. of Charleston; two sisters, Dorothy Reed and Martha Ann Keener, both of Charleston; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Charleston with the Rev. Roger Jespersen officiating.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Woods, Ryan Woods, Matthew Morrow, Patrick Donovan, Rick Reed, Charles "Chuck" Farmer III, Bruce Farmer, John Keener, Paul Keener and Dennis Hurley.
