Ella Quinn

Born Oct. 10, 1926, in Union Town, Ky., daughter of the late William Henry and Ida Mae Young Chick, she was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Henson.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Lee Quinn; two sisters, Willie Mae Yeager who also died May 16, 2006, and Mira Carter; one brother, William Henry Chick Jr.; and four grandchildren.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Lena Mae and Larry Gillespie of Charleston and Kathryn and the Rev. Sylvester Davis of Bertrand; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jimmy Chick Quinn of Sikeston and Melvin Lee and Debra Quinn Sr. of Henderson, Ky.; and 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Funeral Home in Charleston.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church with her son-in-law, the Rev. Sylvester Davis, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
