CHAFFEE -- George L. Felker, 79, died at 11:40 a.m. May 10, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 18, 1926, in Glen Allen, son of the late Luther and Veda Burns Felker, he was a retired self-employed farmer and agriculture teacher having taught at Advance, Bell City and Delta. He was a member of the Glen Allen Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Chaffee VFW Post 3127 and a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II.
On March 16, 1948, he married Mildred Bollinger who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Diana Felker of Jackson and Charles and Charmayne Felker of Farmington, N.M.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgiana and Mark Gerdes of Jackson and Barbara and Kenneth Campbell of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, one sister, Ann Henderson, preceded him in death.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. John Rice will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Garden Cemetery near Morley.
