Jackson committed five turnovers in a 35-14 loss to Vianney. The Indians' scoring came on a 32-yard touchdown reception by Luke Crader from Rex Meyr and a 7-yard run by Trae Smith. The loss dropped Jackson to 1-2.
Cape Central remained winless in three games with a 32-0 loss to Blytheville. A 70-yard touchdown run off a fake punt opened the floodgates in the third quarter with Central trailing 6-0. The Chickasaws ran for 200 yards while holding the Tigers to only six rushing yards. Forced to go to the air, Central's sophomore quarterback Garrett Stevens completed 20-of-35 for 153 yards with two interceptions.
Kennett, winless in its first two games, defeated previously undefeated Hayti 26-24. Marco Finley, who rushed for 144 yards, set up the game-tying touchdown, on a 57-yard pass play late in the fourth quarter after Hayti had taken its first lead at 24-18 with 1:48 remaining. The Indians converted a two-point conversion for the game-winning points.
