BLOOMFIELD - Mildred Louise McClain, 64, died Dec. 27, 2005, at her home.
Born June 28, 1941, in Bloomfield, daughter of Vercie Dunivan Cooper of Bloomfield and the late Vernon Cooper, she had lived all her life in Dexter and Bloomfield. She was a member of the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church, near Aquilla, and had worked as a door greeter at Wal-Mart for many years.
On Dec. 15, 1964, in O'Fallon, she married Ray McClain, who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to her mother and husband include: one daughter, Lesley Barbour of St. Louis; three brothers, Milford and Larry Cooper, both of Bloomfield and the Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance; three sisters, Linda Sue McRoy and Velma White, both of Bloomfield and Janet Abernathy of Advance; and two grandchildren.
In addition to her father, one grandchild preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, near Aquilla.
