Garry Chism

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Garry Lynn Chism, 55, formerly of Sikeston, died at 7:54 a.m. March 4, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 23, 1953, in Sikeston, to the late O.C. and Norma Goldie King Chism, he was a truck driver with CRST.

Surviving are: two brothers, Larry Chism of Benton and Jerry Chism of Cape Girardeau; and two sisters, Judy Scherer of Benton and Linda Purkis of Carthage.

One son preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. The Rev. Dennis Lowe will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Scherer and Harley Scherer.
