MALDEN -- Oscar Aaron Miller, 82, died Dec. 9, 2005, at his home.
Born May 7, 1923, in Risco, son of the late Otis and Orpha Jackson Miller, he was a member and a deacon of the Pleasant View General Baptist Church at Risco. Retiring after being employed 22 years by Wal-Mart, he was also a retired road supervisor for the New Madrid County Highway Department and was a member of the Four Mile Masonic Lodge at Campbell.
On Dec. 5, 1940, at Malden, he married Lavona Z. Lomax who survives of Malden.
Other survivors include: four sons, Bob Miller of Malden, Ralph Miller of Blytheville, Ark., Stanley Miller of Springfield and Terry Miller of Malden; one daughter, Barbara Medlin of Parma; two brothers, Julian Miller of Risco and Ed Miller of Malden; and 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McConnell and Neva Thompson, and three brothers, Adolph Miller, Harold Miller and D.O. Miller.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home where Masonic rites are scheduled for 7 p.m. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church at Malden with the Rev. Mark Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
