ORAN - Harold David Hartman, 84, died Jan. 10, 2006, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 10, 192l, in Lilbourn, son of the late Walter Martin and Mae Clara Penrose Hartman, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre. A heavy equipment operator with Local 513, he was a member of St. Mark Masonic Lodge and Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.
On May 9, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., he married Amanda Engelen, who preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 1999.
On Nov. 26, 1999, in Cape Girardeau, he married Elizabeth Reischman, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two stepsons, Gary Reischman of New Hamburg and Donald Reischman of Chaffee; four stepdaughters, Dolores Pobst of Cape Girardeau, Ruth Heisserer of Scott City, Judy Tainter of St. Peters and Rosemary Bryeans of Oran; an adopted sister, Ruth Leonard of Kentucky; and 18 stepgrandchildren and 7 great-stepgrandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m., today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. John Harth officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
