Milestone celebrated

VANDUSER -- Mr. and Mrs. Ettel Hasty celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends Jan. 28 at Family Life Center in Vanduser. The celebration was hosted by the couple's children.

Hasty and his wife, Dorothy, were married Jan. 26, 1945, in Crowder. They have seven children, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Hasty was a farmer for 31 years in Bell City and can still be found selling his garden supplies in the Sikeston area. Mrs. Hasty worked 10 years at Sikeston Convalescent Center and then six years for Visiting Nurses Association. Prior to that, she was a full-time mother to four boys and three girls.
