RNCC honors salon owner
SIKESTON - There are changes and honors coming the way of Southern Aire Salon.
Owner Brenda Wey, who recently moved the salon to 616 S. Kingshighway, was selected by the National Republican Congressional Committee as a recipient of the 2005 Ronald Reagan Republic Gold Medal.
"Mrs. Wey has long supported Republican ideals, like debt reduction and tax reform as they relate to the growth and stability of small business in this country," said U.S. Rep. Tom Reynolds, chairman of the NRCC. "I look forward to Mrs. Wey's continued participation as a key member of the committee and offer my congratulations.
Those who are selected to receive the Ronald Reagan Republican Gold Medal are invited to periodic strategy briefings to provide input on economic and tax issues, as well as how to build broad-based support for conservative initiatives within the business community.
SIKESTON - Almanda Studinger to the staff of Southern Aire Beauty and Tanning.
A hairdresser with 15 years experience in the business, Studinger recently moved to Sikeston from Wisconsin. She will offer haircuts and stylings for men, women and children.
