SIKESTON - The Sikeston Corporate Games are back.
After a year's hiatus, Corporate Games XI are scheduled for June 4-24. There will be 15 events in this year's Corporate Games, offering area companies the opportunity to compete against other local businesses for trophies, medals and a good time.
Again this year, companies will be able to enter individual events at a reduced cost to fit smaller budgets and smaller work forces. The best bargain is still the $500 team entry fee, which covers a company's participation in all 15 events.
The games offer competition for everyone - jocks as well as the less athletically inclined, said Jiggs Moore, director of the Sikeston Department of Parks and Recreation.
There will be a kickoff event on Thursday evening, June 1 in the Clinton Building - the Corporate Games Lip Synch Contest - with ownership of the coveted Lip Synch plaque at stake. "This is a fun, entertaining event in which companies can earn team points just for participating," he said.
Companies interested in competing in this year's Corporate Games should contact Moore at 471-6070 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Entry deadline is Feb. 24.
