KELSO -- Dale Vincent Reeves, 82, died Nov. 24, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 13, 1923, in Illmo, son of the late Luther Lelander and Martha Marie Davis Reeves, he was owner of Dale V. Reeves Painting Co. A veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army Air Force, he was a past post commander of VFW Post 6407 and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Knights of Columbus Council 6420 in Scott City, and was a 4th Degree Assembly 2283 in Scott City.
On July 3, 1948, in Kelso, he married Marie D. LeGrand who preceded him in death on April 27, 2004.
Other survivors include; two daughters, LaDonna Gosche and Deanna Brown of Kelso; four brothers, Dorris Reeves of Seattle, Wash., Don Reeves of Peoria, Ill., Ray Reeves of Baja, Calif., and Roy Lee Reeves of Fruitland; one sister, Reva Maxine Hamm of Lone Oak, Ark.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City where parish prayers are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus prayer service.
Services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating
Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with military rites by the Missouri Funeral Honors Program.
