HECTOR, Ark. - Lawrence Boley, 77, died Sept. 23, 2007, at his home.
Born Dec. 29, 1929, in Lamar, he was the son of the late Odes and Annie Francis Turner Boley. A self-employed farmer, he was a board member of Camp Caudle Christian Camp, former volunteer fireman with Scottsville VFD, member of the Dover Chamber of Commerce, a lifetime member of the Pope County Riding Club and a member of the Dover Church of Christ.
He was first married to Billie Sue Nichols, who survives of Dover. On April 18, 1982, at Sikeston, Mo., he married Lois Vincent who survives of the home.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Boley of Dover; four daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Robert Cox of Havana, Donna and Terry Howell of Dover, Linda and Sam Leynes of Conway and Sabra and Jonathan Roberts of Puxico, Mo.; three brothers, Lloyd Boley of Sikeston, Billy Boley of Morris Chapel, Tenn., and Randy Boley of Dover; one sister, Brenda Allen of Searcy; and 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, two sons-in-law, one granddaughter and a brother, Dwain Boley.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Humphrey Funeral Home, 2801 West Main Street, in Russellville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Dover Church of Christ with Micah Williams officiating.
Burial will be at Owens Cemetery at Dover.
