Mildred Allen

SIKESTON - Mildred M. Allen, 85, died at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 3, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born March 16, 1920, in New Douglas, Ill., daughter of the late Ed and Martha Linn Schweppe, she was a member of the Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston. In 1953, she began working as a bookkeeper for the Bucher, Essner and Miles CPA firm.

On Oct. 14, 1948, she married Perry Allen who preceded her in death on March 27, 1973.

One sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and J.R. Sullivan of Sikeston; one grandson, Brent Taylor of Sikeston; two granddaughters, Kelly Vandiver of Morehouse and Kim Sullivan of Sikeston; and six great-

grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. John Bouldrey of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Essner, Jim Bucher, Dan Richardson, Jeff Miles, Tony LeGrand and Harold Springs.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Mary Ann Stricker, Jean Wallace, Shirley Richardson, Larry Berkbuegler and Bill Reed.
