BERKLEY, Ky. - Jessalean Ray, 63, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died at 10:10 a.m. Jan. 4, 2006, at her home.
Born Oct. 22, 1942, in East Prairie, to the late Jesse and May Magdalene Fobar Priest, she had lived the past several years in Berkley, where she owned and operated the Flower Basket Flower Shop in Bardwell before retiring and was a member of the Berkley Baptist Church.
On Oct. 12, 1957, she married Bobby Ray who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bobby and Karla Ray Jr. of Clinton and Brady Ray of Drakesboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa Rhodes and Bill Dickson of Arlington; one brother, Bud Priest of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Ann Duty of Benton, Mo., Nell Mainord of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Alline Thompkins of East Prairie and Edith Clark of Kentucky; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, two brothers, Pete Priest and Sonny Priest and two sisters, Helen Sanders and Mildred Brown, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, with Roger Wood officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
